Technical ceramics – SPS-materials
Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) is an advanced powder consolidation technique that uses pulsed electric current and uniaxial pressure to achieve rapid densification at lower temperatures. This method allows for the production of ceramics with very fine and uniform microstructures, minimal grain growth and improved mechanical and functional properties.
SPS is ideal for nanostructured materials, difficult-to-sinter compositions and prototyping of complex or novel ceramics. By preserving unique material characteristics and enabling short processing times, SPS opens up new possibilities in both research and industrial production of technical ceramics.
